Necklets
The DotJewellery.com range of necklets include classic traditional, contemporary modern and sophisticated dress and evening wear styles, available in Silver, 9 carat and 18 carat gold and lengths to suit all occasions.
To determine which necklet length you need to order, measure around your neck with a length of cotton and make a mark at the required circumference where the two ends overlap. Ensure the length of cotton drops below the neck and falls to the desired place on the chest. Measure this distance between the two marks and refer to the below table of lengths selecting the next longest length.

Fineness of our metals:
9 carat is 37.5% pure gold (0.375) combined with varying percentage mixes of silver and other base metals depending on alloy colour.
14 carat is 58.5% pure gold (0.585) combined with varying percentage mixes of other base metals depending on alloy colour.
18 carat is 75% pure gold (0.750) combined with varying percentage mixes of other (precious and) base metals depending on alloy colour.
22 carat is 91.6% pure gold (0.916) combined with varying percentage mixes of other base metals depending on alloy colour.
Platinum is 95% pure (950) comprising 95% platinum and 5% other metals, usually either ruthenium or copper.
Palladium is 95% pure (950) comprising 95% Palladium and 5% other metals.
Weight & Tolerance:
All specified weights are approximately accurate but we reserve the right to supply items within an acceptable trade tolerance; this being 0.2 gram for each item less than 2 gram and 10% of the specified weight over 2 grams whichever is the heavier.
It may be necessary in extreme circumstances to supply a similar product of equal or superior specification where the item requested is not available at the time of order.

- 17 inches (approx. 432 mm) – ladies choker / youth’s pendant
- 18 inches (approx. 457 mm) – ladies pendant / gentleman’s choker
- 20 inches (approx. 508 mm) – average gentleman’s / ladies cleavage
- 22 inches (approx. 559 mm) – gentleman’s / waist chain
- 24 inches (approx. 609 mm) – longer gentleman’s / waist chain
- 28 inches (approx. 711 mm) – waist chain

White Gold Alloys:
An assortment of white precious and base metals are used to bleach gold white.
For alloys used by us, to achieve 9 carat white, silver is added and for 18 carat white, palladium is added.
Nickel may be used in high carat white gold alloys and these will conform to the appropriate section of the EU Directive 94/27/EC, parts EN1811 and EN 12472.
All white gold is actually off-white in colour. Most 9 and 18ct white gold items are enhanced by Rhodium plating to give a brighter reflective surface, however in time this wears off and will need re-plating should you require.
